When a cigar goes out mid-smoke you usually need to relight it. In order to do this, you have one of two options; you can roll gently roll the cigar against your ashtray and try to tap the ash out. Or, you can take a flame to the cigar foot and try to burn through the compacted ash. There is a problem with both circumstances, but in either case, you can’t really see what you are doing. This means you could be doing more damage to the cigar instead of fixing the problem. You need a tool that will get you beyond the ash and allow you to see how your cigar really needs to be re-lit. You may find that you have a run from the inside that you could see on the outside.

Your cigar cherry may be half-lit or only need touching up in a specific area. It could be completely out requiring a full light. Or, maybe it only needs a little spark to get it going again. Likewise, you may have purposely let your cigar go out and want to save it for later. You don’t want to cut the end because deep burning can crack and ruin the cigar (a Fuego Electric Lighter eliminates this). Digging the ash out with your finger might work but no one wants to touch the ash if they don’t have to.
